For a child, the world is full of growth, possibilities and adventure. They’re balls of energy that learn to crawl, walk and talk, and eventually they’re hard to keep up with. For Emilio and his parents, things are much different. Emilio has cerebral palsy, which makes something as simple as sitting up quite difficult. His parents wanted more for their little one, so they looked into what they could do to treat his symptoms. They began in Mexico, where Emilio received physical therapy along with speech and hearing therapies, but nothing was giving them the results they were looking for. When they began researching the potential that stem cells could have in helping their son, they found our services in Bangkok. Now they have come for his second treatment, after seeing how so much, the first treatment has improved the quality of life of Emilio and his symptoms.
They were mesmerised by the level of commitment and the attention that the staff was giving Emilio when they were assessing him. The doctors and clinicians were very personable and made it easy and comfortable for them.
“…The truth is everything has enchanted us. They give special treatment to children and at no point die he (Emilio) feel uncomfortable with them” – Emilio’s mother
Along with the stem cell treatment, they stimulated Emilio’s muscles with physical therapy, acupressure and message therapy. They immediately noticed positive changes in their son. He had an appetite, his legs and body were stronger and more capable of holding his weight, and he was even starting to get a bit chattier.
“Since we arrived we have seen many changes. As you can see already can stand a bit longer, his legs have more strength, increased appetite, increased control, balance, Emilio could not sit well or for long, now he is doing a bit more. Maybe the changes are very small but have seen them. We have seen many improvements in him.” – Emilio’s father
The most encouraging part was that they felt like they have the time to see how far this treatment could help their son, and that was a great feeling.
