Although there has been extension research, funding and many successful trials, stem cells remain a bit of a mystery to the general population. Which leads potential patients to ask the only question that really matters.
“Can stem cells really help me?”
We field questions like these constantly and, working with experts in regenerative medicine, we’re able to give them hope. Because in the past decade, medical treatments that use mesenchymal stem cells have helped patients regain their quality of life.
Even the FDA, the association widely known for being against the use of stem cells, has approved several clinical trials that are treating tens of thousands of patients on a yearly basis. Over 1.5 million people were treated with Stem Cells by 2015, many of whom have shown impressive improvements. Unfortunately, many of these numbers, statistics and the outstanding results have at time been kept hidden from the public. Hundreds of thousands of individuals have had their health bettered by the use of adult stem cell transplants.
Treatments that were once disparaged and scorned by many scientists and doctors have become accepted as legitimate treatment options. Thankfully, with the many breakthroughs and successful trials using stem cells, the negative stigmas surrounding these potentially life-altering therapies are on the decline.
For the time being, there are 3,500 clinical trials that are ongoing or that have concluded, all of them using adult stem cells listed in the NIH/FDA-approved database. In 2014 alone, 20,000 patients were treated in the US and Canada, and over 70,000 people were treated worldwide.
Most clinics operate within the boundaries that are both, legal and ethical, when dealing with their patients and carrying out their treatments. For our part, it’s always been in Verita Neuro‘s mission to provide the best medical procedures involving adult mesenchymal stem cells and to help all those in need.
