Josiane undergoes Stem Cell Therapy for ALS
Josiane, 38 from Brazil was diagnosed with ALS. She tried to learn as much as she could about the disease and potential treatment options. Eventually, she learn about Verita Neuro.
She reached out and spoke with one of our patient representatives. After several calls, I ended up deciding to undergo treatment here.
Steady progression with Regenerative Treatment
Josiane felt more fatigued and tired prior to starting her treatment. Through the mix of treatments wh received with Unique Access, she made significant progress towards recovery.
In addition to Stem Cell Therapy, Josiane underwent a combination of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Hydrotherapy. These treatments were tailored specifically to engage her body in a way that complements her Stem Cell Treatment.
Before receiving treatment, I was more tired, and felt more exhausted. Now, here I am, I can say I am at my best. My condition has improved. I walk more here. I didn’t walk a lot before. And I believe I improve much more. This is just the beginning.”
Aside from the treatment she received, Josiane was thoroughly impressed with the excellent quality of care she received from the team. She also appreciated the ambiance and quality of the facilities.
It’s been great here. I’ve received great care and attention. I don’t even have words. I can’t even properly explain how dedicated, they are, how generous they are. I’ve become fond of everyone here.”
What is ALS?
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as ALS, is a neurodegenerative disorder. It progressively causes motor neurons that serve as the neural highway from brain to spinal cord to muscles to degenerate. As neurons die, the ability of the brain to control muscles and movement weakens. Eventually this decay leaves a person with nearly zero control over body movement.
The disease is most common in people who are between the ages of 40 and 70. Initial symptoms can be varied. For some, difficulty in simple tasks such as lifting a mug or writing with a pen may be the first symptoms. For others, it can be an unusual change in a voice’s pitch.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a neurological disease which impacts motor neurons that are involved in muscle movement throughout the body.
Stem Cell Therapy is gaining acceptance as an alternative treatment method for numerous neurodegenerative disorders such as ALS. Stem Cells primarily act to aid in replacement and repair of damaged cells. In addition to this, Stem Cells aid in patient recovery by altering the motor neuron’s environment helping protect neurons against further degeneration.
Verita Neuro is a leading provider of Stem Cell Therapy. Our treatments make use of higher dosages of Mesenchymal Stem Cells to be able to better treat neurodegenerative disorders.
