Devic’s Disease Patient Shares her Positive Improvements After Stem Cell Treatment
Mindi Brown, a 48 year-old American, suffered from Devic’s Disease and had been searching in vain for potential medical treatments. Back home, Mindi was incorrectly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis initially and the prescribed medications worked against her system. Hence, she had to end up in the hospital every three months. Later, she was correctly diagnosed with Devic’s Disease.
After understanding the benefits and possibilities with Stem Cells for her condition, Mindi underwent the Stem Cell Treatment with Verita Neuro in Bangkok.
Mindi's Treatments and Drastic Improvements
As for her Treatment Plan, Mindi received Stem Cell injections, Vitamin injections, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), rTMS, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Aquatic Therapy and more. The Treatment Plan for Mindi was set to optimise the rehabilitation of her body.
Within two weeks of her treatment, Mindi met her short-term goal after seeing drastic improvements. She was able to stand up again after five whole years. Her neck had more stability and the movements with her right upper extremity improved.
She also had an improved ability to speak and experienced decrease in tone.
The Treatment here has been above and beyond what we would have expected. She was able to stand up for the first time in five years. That was a very special moment.”

Understanding Devic's Disease
Devic’s disease is a type of inflammatory demyelinating disease, which occurs when the Myelin Sheath, a protective covering that surrounds brain and spinal cord nerves is damaged.
The disease is often characterized by immune attacks on the optic nerves and the spinal cord, which could cause the blurred or loss of vision. According to the National Health Service in the UK, although people of Asian and African descent face a higher chance of developing this disease, anyone may be affected. It is also more common for those who are 40 years of age and above. The cause of this is, however, unknown.
Devic’s Disease is extremely difficult to cure. However, Stem Cell Treatments can prevent the progression of the disease and increase the quality of life for the patients.
