Ephram Follows His Friend’s Recommendation and Chooses LamiSpine Treatment
At the age of 24, Ephram Gudgeon’s life came to a dramatic twist when he got into a diving accident while swimming with his family back home in New Zealand. He was left with a T12 Spinal Cord Injury where he has completely lost all voluntary movements in his lower limbs. Whilst in pursuit of any treatment that could help him, Ephram heard about Unique Access and LamiSpine treatment from his friend, who is also living with Spinal Cord Injury and has received treatment with us before. Following his friend’s recommendation, Ephram decided to come here.
Improvements Following LamiSpine Treatment
As a part of Ephram’s Treatment Protocol, he underwent LamiSpine Treatment, Regenerative cell injections via IV and Lumbar Puncture, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy. Following the treatment, Ephram enjoyed a wide-range of improvement- from regaining muscle mass, sensation, strength, and a better control over his bladder.
Since receiving (LamiSpine treatment), there are a lot of improvements in my legs. It’s gotten a lot stronger. With the help and assistance, I’m able to walk whilst standing. I can also feel a lot of pain, which to me, is good. I’d rather feel pain than feel nothing at all. Something else I’ve gained improvement in is my bladder. I can feel my bladder and when it’s filling up and when I need to go to the toilet. That in itself is a huge blessing to me”
Overall, Ephram is extremely satisfied with the whole treatment experience. He said that the friendly, caring, and professional staff all played an important role in helping him achieve and feel what he does.
Ephram Recommends LamiSpine to Other Spinal Cord Injury Patients
Ephram also left a message for other Spinal Cord Injury patients who might be considering LamiSpine Treatment as well.
Anyone who’s out there with Spinal Cord Injuries, if you are considering Regenerative Treatment, I highly recommend the team here. You’ve got nothing to lose. The cost of all is nothing compared to what you could get back. Me, I was able to get movement and the feelings back in my legs, which have been the goal since I was in the accident. To be able to come here, it really did pay off. I highly recommend it.”
Understanding Spinal Cord Injury
Spinal Cord Injury (SC) refers to a condition in which the Spinal Cord is damaged, resulting in blocked or reduced communication between the brain and the rest of the body. The patient’s sensory, motor function, reflex, bladder and bowel movement, sexual function are some of the bodily functions usually affected by the injury.
Spinal Cord Injury can occur at a different level, depending on which location the damage occured. Anatomically, human spinal cords are divided into four levels- starting from the Cervical Level, which is located in the base of the neck, down to Thoracic, Lumbar, and Sacral respectively. The severity of the injury also depends on the level at which the injury occurred. This means that each Spinal Cord Injury patient’s path to recovery varies individually.
