Stem Cell Treatment helps Panagiotis fight ALS

After being diagnosed with ALS, Panagiotis, 63 years old from Greece, sought opinions of doctors throughout Europe and America. One of the doctors they had encountered referred them to Unique Access Medical.

    Progress Made By Panagiotis

Aside from Stem Cell Treatment, Panagiotis also underwent Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Aqua Therapy and more. Within his first 12 days of treatment, he began showing signs of progress- he showed an improved ability to speak and swallow. Moreover, he has also become stronger than he had been when he first started treatment.

Panagiotis was appreciative of the hospitality and care he received from the staff.

Panagiotis’ daughter also expressed her appreciation whilst speaking about the staff at the hospital,

They make us feel like family here. We’ve only been here for 12 days and it already feels like home.”

Some words of advice from Panagiotis

Since beginning his treatment at Unique Access, Panagiotis gained hope, something that is hard to find when diagnosed with a major illness.

We’ve seen a lot of improvement. Physically and psychologically. So yes, it is worth it. Everyone deserves hope. If they can do something about it, they should, they should try. Here they have a chance to do something better for their life.”

    Understanding Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder that targets neurons in the spinal cord and brain. The disease causes atrophy in the motor neurons rendering them less useful over time, until eventually, they become inoperative.

When this happens, the brain can no longer transmit signals to the body required for bodily movement.
